A Worldly Cafe Escape

Tucked into a bioscience campus in Torrey Pines, this cafe is a deliberate departure from the lab. Inspired by the concept of a “World Cafe”, the space layers global prints, patterns, and textures to create a vibrant environment where you might feel like you’ve traveled the world - without leaving the campus.

We designed the entirety of this indoor outdoor experience, from custom fabrication and furnishings to FF&E procurement, construction documentation, and construction administration. Plush seating, a signature squiggle motif, flipboard menu, and carefully sourced found objects add personality at every turn.
