Lucien is an intimate, 30 seat reservation only restaurant in La Jolla, designed as both a culinary destination and a design experience. The name - French for “light”, reflects the refined, ethereal atmosphere that embodies Chef Elijah’s vision. Guided by the principles of Wabi-Sabi and juxtaposition, the design pairs raw materials with sophisticated details, accented throughout with California wood and stone. The dining room offers views into the kitchen and out toward La Jolla Cove, reinforcing the connection between craft and place. The result is a ‘SoCal Lux’ environment - tactile, warm, and rooted in the local landscape, where the intimacy of dining in a home meets the prestige of haute cuisine.
